Mrs. Jessica Carnavas began her career as a science teacher and special educator in 2012. She has been employed as a teacher, an instructional coach (6-8), team leader, Assistant Principal and Principal. Prior to her arrival to Oceanport in 2024, Mrs. Carnavas worked in Staten Island, New York. Mrs. Carnavas holds a Post Graduate Certification in School Building Leadership, a Master's Degree in General & Special Education, a Master's Degree in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations. In addition to serving as Oceanport's Director of Special Services, Mrs. Carnavas is also the Director of Preschool, the Director of ESL, the Anti-Bullying Coordinator, and the District's Homeless Liaison. Jessica is passionate about inclusive education and educating the whole child. Jessica is a firm believer that all children are capable of learning, we just need to find their special pathway!
